    • Kam im Jahre 1848 mit seinen Bruedern Heinrich (1818- 1881) und Wilhelm (1824-1893) nach Angermuende; sie waren dort zunaechst Handelsleute ohne festen Wohnsitz. Im Jahre 1870 kaufte Nikolaus das Haus Klosterstr. 3, spaeter 4, gruendete 1870 (Eintrag ins Handelsregister) mit Heinrich die Fa. Gebr. Doering, deren Mitinhaber er bis 19.07.1884 war, als er seinen Firmenanteil an Paul Angelus D. uebergab.
